Olympic gold medalist Iosefo Masi says he never thought that one day he will play alongside Jerry Tuwai.
He says he always loved watching Tuwai play for Fiji while growing up in Waitabu Village in Taveuni.
Masi says he is thankful to his parents for always supporting his rugby career.
The 23-year-old is from Waitabu Village in Bouma, Taveuni and has maternal links to Wailevu Village in Tunuloa.
He attended South Taveuni Primary School where he played soccer and attended Holy Cross College from Form 3 to Form 6.
Masi did Form 7 at Suva Grammar School where he played for the Under 18 team in the Deans competition.
He is currently a final year Bachelor of Science student at the FNU’s College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
