One of Fiji’s top heavyweight boxers, James “The Beast” Singh says most of the time he has been training alone at home with his children in preparation for his showdown with Jonasa Kavika for the heavyweight title of Fiji next Saturday at Lawaqa Park.
Singh who is from Sigatoka says he has to sometimes prioritize family and work over training.
Singh is predicting that his fight with Kavika will not go beyond the fifth round.
The last time Singh was in a boxing ring, he lost to Herman "The Hermanator' Purcell in their World Youth Title fight in Australia.
Purcell won through a technical knock-out.
Singh quit due to a shoulder injury.
The South Pacific Boxing Promotion Biggest Fights of 2020 event will be held at Lawaqa Park next Saturday.
