The Hurricanes held off a strong fightback from the Brumbies to win 32-27 in their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific culture round clash last night.

Second five-eighth Jodie Barret showed class with his kicking boots as he scored 12 points through conversions and penalty goal kicks to help the Hurricanes secure another win.

Fijians Isaiah Walker-Leawere and Salesi Rayasi started for the Canes with Kiniviliame Naholo coming off the bench while Rob Valetini started for the Brumbies.

In another game last night, Mark Nawaqanitawase and Langi Gleeson helped the Waratahs beat Jona Nareki’s Highlanders 21-20 in a tightly contested match.

Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will be looking to create another upset today as they will play the Blues at 2.05pm today at Churchill Park.

In other matches today, Moana Pasifika will play the Rebels at 4.35pm, the Chiefs will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm and the Reds play the Western Force at 9.35pm.
