Category 3 Hurricane Milton has made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida.
The US National Hurricane Centre has warned citizens of life-threatening storm surges and flash floodings which could occur over the central Florida Peninsula.
Hurricane Milton is carrying a wind speed of 120mph (205km/h), and the storm is moving Northeast at about 15mph as it crosses over Florida and heads out to the Atlantic over the coming hours.
Experts at the National Hurricane Center say it's expected to slow down considerably as it works its way over, but in the meantime, there are "life-threatening" storm surge, wind and flood warnings in place.
