Hundreds of residents in some parts of Navua and nearby areas are still without power although it has restored to most affected areas last night.
Energy Fiji Limited says they are anticipating all remaining works to be completed by 1pm today before power supply is fully restored.
The unplanned outage in the area occurred after underground power cables were damaged by a contractor carrying out construction works for the Fiji Roads Authority.
The incident occurred along Waidradra Road in Deuba.
Energy Fiji Limited had confirmed that areas affected included whole of Navua, Navua Hospital, Ranadi Plantation, Grace Road Food Company, Navua Town, part of Queens Road from Namelimeli to the junction of Viti Levu Drive and Queens Road, and all side roads in‑between.
