Hundreds of people from all walks of life gathered on the second last day of the Miss Hibiscus 2024 to watch the first-ever all-women band, Marama, make their first-ever stage appearance performing together as a band, and the crowd surely was not disappointed with the group’s performance.

Despite the unfavourable weather in the capital city last night, it did not stop people from turning out to witness the entertainment that was provided for them.

The band also had a few collaborations with one of Fiji’s famous Vude artists Georgina Ledua who also made an appearance on stage with the band.

Marama Band member Naomi Kaloumaira says it was an exciting experience performing in front of a huge crowd for the first time as a band.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Kaloumaira says for her personally, it was an amazing experience performing alongside talented women and she feels blessed.

She acknowledged the crowd for making an effort to come out in numbers despite the heavy rain and it was overwhelming to see the level of support they received.

Kaloumaira says she looks forward to more performances on stage with the band.

Today is the final day of the Miss Hibiscus Festival where the crowning of the Miss Hibiscus 2024 will be taking place as well.
