The Director of the Fiji Human Rights and Anti‑Discrimination Commission Ashwin Raj says they are awaiting the report from University of Fiji in regards to a case of alleged racism by an academic.
Raj says he understands that the independent committee has completed its investigation.
He says once they get the report they can then decide the next step.
University of Fiji says the report has been completed and submitted to the University Council.
It is alleged that the Centre for iTaukei Studies Director Dr. Litiana Kuridrani told the President of the Samabula Law Students Association Filipe Bainivalu to ‘Stop barking like an Indian Dog’.
The alleged incident happened earlier this year.
