Fijians turned up in numbers to access voter services as the Fijian Elections Office's Voter Registration and Awareness Drive continues throughout Fiji.
We spoke to some people that were present at the Damodar City Complex where a team from the FEO were conducting voter registrations.
Local renowned artist Eta Gonerogo says she came to register because she wants her vote to count in the upcoming elections.
She says she was not aware that her 2018 voter card is deemed invalid for the upcoming election, so she came to register as a new voter.
The "two bags wacala" artist says she was frustrated about the new policy concerning married women, however, she is urging mothers and daughters of voting age to come forward and have their voices heard by voting in this elections.
Fiji School of Medicine student Neehal Shiwani Mala says it is important for people to register to vote so they can have the choice to decide what type of government will run the country.
She acknowledged the Elections Office for bringing their services to the people.
Meanwhile, Vula Savou who came to change the details on her voter card was impressed with the services provided by the Elections Office officials.
She says it only took her 10 to 15 minutes to have her details changed and she is urging other Fijians who need to change their details, to visit any Elections Office site so their vote can be counted.
