Fiji-born Chiefs winger Emoni Narawa has a huge task ahead of him this weekend as he comes up against Caleb Clarke, one of the explosive wingers in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition when the Chiefs take on the Blues at Eden Park.
Narawa, after returning from the long-term injury that kept him out for the first half of this year’s competition, has been finding his form lately and impressing the selectors with his sheer pace and determination on the wing.
With this year’s Super Rugby Pacific competition coming close to an end, Narawa will be using every opportunity he gets to try and make his way back into the All Blacks squad for the upcoming June test series.
Ever since his return, Narawa has scored a total of 9 tries so far and is sitting in the top 4 of the most tries scored statistic this year.
Clarke on the other hand has also been impressive this year, running a total of 946 metres in as many games he played this year with 15 clean line breaks and 42 defenders beaten so far.
The Blues will host the Chiefs at 7.05pm this Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take on the Melbourne Rebels at 2.05pm at Churchill Park this Saturday.
In other matches this week, the Crusaders will play Moana Pasifika at 7.05pm Friday, the Waratahs host the Reds at 9.35pm Friday, the Hurricanes will take on the Highlanders at 4.35pm Saturday, and the Force will host the Brumbies at 9.35pm Saturday.
