Hotel project the biggest Chinese investment in Fiji

Wyndham Silkroad Ark Hotel project is now the biggest Chinese investment in the country.

Minister for Trade, Industry and Tourism Faiyaz Koya says the launch of the Wyndham Silkroad Ark Hotel which will see the construction of a multi-million dollar resort near Komave Village on the Coral Coast has opened the door for Chinese investors who may be looking to invest and build businesses in the country.

Koya says this is the first project that is part of the Guangdong Provincial Government’s effort to bring genuine Chinese investors into the Pacific.

He adds that the experience shared during the launch will be able to encourage more Chinese investors to come and invest in paradise.

Meanwhile, Koya thanked Fiji’s Trade Commission in Shanghai who is dedicated to promoting the bilateral trade investment and tourism in Fiji to China.

He adds the government of Fiji is determined to provide a stable political environment where the business can thrive in Fiji.
