Two newly renovated teachers’ quarters that was fully funded by Hot Bread Kitchen’s Kubuabola Samisoni Education Foundation Trust was handed to Ballantine Memorial School today.
Hot Bread Kitchen Owner, Dr Mere Samisoni who handed the keys of the two newly renovated teachers’ quarters to the board of the school says it is important to begin from the grassroot level where teachers need to understand the different styles of learning in order to customize the teaching programs to suit the needs of the students
She says with only one teachers’ quarters left to be fully renovated, teachers can now have a secure place to live and relax after a long hard day’s work.
Meanwhile, Ballantine Memorial School Principal Miriama Naicegucegu says they are grateful to the Samisoni family and the Hot Bread Kitchen family for their kind support in renovating the three teachers’ quarters.
The Principal says they had been given a notice to close down by the Lami Town Council due to the structure of the school but through the timely aid by the Samisoni family, they were able to keep operating.
She says the newly renovated quarters will now increase the number of teachers staying in the school compound to help with the 200 boarding students.
The total cost of the funding was $35,000.
