Host of 2019 Pacific Games to be announced today

The Pacific Games Council will announce today the new host of the 2019 Pacific Games after Tonga withdrew from hosting the event.

The Tongan government told the Pacific Games Council it was withdrawing due to financial concerns.

Samoa and Guam which have bid for the hosting rights are favourites.
