Hindu group says Fiji should be a secular state

A Hindu religious group representing the majority of Hindus in the country believes that Fiji should be a secular state.

The general secretary of Shri Sanatan Dharam Prathinidhi Sabha of Fiji Vijen Prakash said state and religion are separate issues and the Sabha believes that prominence should not be given to only one religion.
