The Highlanders could have a Naholo on either wing in Super Rugby Pacific in 2022 if the brothers’ bodies hold up in the NPC.
Head coach Tony Brown has confirmed to Stuff.co that both Waisake and Kini were on his radar, after Kini was released by the Chiefs.
Waisake Naholo made his way back into the NPC with Canterbury, after a few injury-interrupted years with London Irish in the UK, when a knee injury limited him to a handful of games.
Kini Naholo, who has also had an injury-ravaged few years at the Chiefs, played in Taranaki's opening two games in the NPC before the competition was suspended due to Covid-19.
