The Highlanders have apologised after seven of their players were involved in a drunken night out in Queenstown in New Zealand last weekend, but none of the group will be stood down from the game against the Blues in Dunedin on Sunday.
The Highlanders players were staying at an apartment block at a popular tourist spot, and Police were called after fellow guests complained several times in the small hours of Saturday about their behaviour and noise levels.
An unnamed guest told the NZ Herald that members of the group, urinated in a public courtyard at the hotel, and the partygoers were "yelling and screaming all night'', which other guests found intimidating.
According to the report, a lift was also damaged after a fight in it.
The Chiefs will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday and the Highlanders will face the Blues at 3.35pm Sunday.
