The Highlanders will be looking to extend their host-winning record when they face the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby Trans-Tasman this afternoon.

The Highlanders have played the Rebels 9 times in Super rugby since 2011 and they have won 6 matches and lost 3.

Out of the 9 matches, they have hosted the Rebels five times, winning four and losing once.

The Highlanders will face the Rebels at 5 o'clock this afternoon.

In last night's results, the Crusaders thrashed the Waratahs 54-23, the Blues thumped the Brumbies 38-10 and the Reds beat the Chiefs 40-34.

The Reds are the first Australian team to beat a New Zealand team in Super Rugby Trans-Tasman.
