50-year-old Bernard Hicks will be sentenced on the 2nd of next month.
Hicks has been convicted of the murder of his 33-year-old defacto wife by High Court Judge Justice, Salesi Temo.
The defence counsel has submitted their mitigation.
Hicks pleaded guilty to murdering a woman in an apartment in Suva in May this year.
He is remanded in custody.
The court heard that Hicks stabbed his defacto wife at their rented apartment at Robertson Road after an argument.
She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
