A heavy rainfall warning is in place for the Western half of Vitilevu and Yasawa-Mamanuca group which may cause flash flooding in low-lying areas today.
Nadi Weather Office Senior Meteorologist Amit Singh said an active cloud band is over the Western part of Fiji as more heavy rain is expected until tonight.
Meanwhile, an active trough of low pressure lies just to the south of Fiji.
Occasional rain and few thunderstorms over most places are expected today.
Wet weather is expected to continue into the weekend.
