A heavy rain alert remains in force and it will affect the country for the next few days.
A trough of low pressure that was slow moving over Fiji has intensified and is currently situated towards the west of the country.
The Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that the flood alert warning has been cancelled, however localized heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in low lying areas.
The Weather Office has also confirmed that rain may intensify in the afternoon.
People can also expect thunderstorms.
