Heavy rain warning in place for most parts of Fiji

A heavy rain warning is in force for the western half of Viti Levu which includes Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki.

The heavy rain warning is also in force for Kadavu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group and nearby smaller islands.

The Nadi Weather Office says people living in Suva, Nausori and Navua can also expect rain to become frequent today.

The rain is being brought by a trough of low pressure that is slowing moving over the Fiji group. This trough is expected to affect the country till tomorrow.
