The Nadi Weather Office says people can expect the rain in parts of the country to continue until later tomorrow.
The rain is being brought by a trough of low pressure slowly moving over the Fiji group.
A heavy rain alert is in force for the rest of the Fiji Group.
The heavy rain warning issued for the eastern and interior of Viti Levu which includes Suva, Nausori, Rakiraki and Navua has been cancelled.
Please note that heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
