There is heavy police presence on the roads in the Suva lockdown area.
Police are patrolling in many residential and city areas with no one else seen walking around.
Fijivillage saw police trucks and four-wheel drive vehicles around the Suva City area and in other places like Nabua and Samabula.
We have also seen checkpoints that are normally erected during curfew hours that are still in some areas like Brown Street in Toorak and Jittu Estate in Raiwaqa.
Police spokesperson Savaira Gonedua says this is part of their normal patrolling during this lockdown.
Security guards are the only ones seen standing around outside the buildings they watch apart from the beggars that are sitting and sleeping at the Suva Bus Stand.
