The hearing in the extradition case of Joshua Aziz Rahman will be held next month in the Suva High Court.
Rahman was convicted and sentenced to 23 years imprisonment with a non-parole period of 14 years imprisonment for being in possession of 39.5 kg of cocaine on 14th February 2019.
Rahman’s lawyer, Devanesh Sharma informed Justice Salesi Temo today that Rahman has no objection to be extradited to New Zealand and face the drug charges.
Sharma and the prosecution lawyer have been given time to file their submissions and the case will be called again on the 29th of next month.
