Health Minister awaits report from health officials around Fiji regarding Typhoid cases

Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete is now awaiting a report from health officials from around the country in relation to Typhoid cases.

While speaking to Fijivillage in Nabouwalu this morning, Waqainabete confirmed that 31 confirmed cases of Typhoid have been reported in Naitasiri and there are also 14 suspected cases from the same province.

Waqainabete confirms the health officials are well positioned in Naitasiri to deal with the Typhoid Outbreak.

The Health Minister says he will be able to confirm in the next few days if there are reported cases of Typhoid from other areas.

Villagers in Naitasiri have been urged to boil drinking water.
