Melbourne Rebels lock Ross Haylett-Petty has been suspended for three weeks for a dangerous tackle during their tight Super Rugby Australia win over the Western Force last Friday.
Haylett-Petty was red-carded late in the match, with the 14-man Rebels managing to hang on for a 10-7 victory.
The 27-year-old struck Force substitute Tomas Lezana in the head with his shoulder as he went in to tackle.
He will miss this week's clash with the Waratahs followed by their game against the Queensland Reds and then a home game with the Force.
The Rebels are currently third in the Super Rugby Australia points table with 6 points while the Brumbies are in the lead with 15 points followed by the Reds with 13 points.
The Rebels will take on the Waratahs at 8.45pm Friday and the Reds will face the Force at 8.45pm Saturday.
