Members of the American exhibition basketball team, Harlem Globetrotters William ‘Bull’ Bullard and Cherelle ‘Torch’ George are enjoying their experience so far on their current tour to Fiji and admit this is one of the best they have had in terms of the hospitality and the reception they have been getting these past few days from the schools they have visited here in Fiji.
George and Bullard were at Yat Sen Secondary School yesterday afternoon where they showcased their basketball skills to hundreds of fans to witness them strut their stuff.
Bullard says he has been to 71 countries now including Fiji, and has been a Globetrotter for 14 years.
He says he is planning to possibly come on many more tours because he feels that a country like Fiji needs that attention when it comes to sports.
He adds for these kids, they are trying to make sure that they start life off the right and correct way so they can get back on the path to do whatever it is that they would like to do.
Cherelle George says they want to leave an impression everywhere they go.
She says for her, she feels like their experience in Fiji is bigger than basketball and bigger than them as well.
