The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side has bounced back from their earlier loss to Australia in their first pool match of the HSBC Hong Kong 7s to claim a 24-7 win over South Africa tonight.
Fiji started the game well scoring three tries and two conversions through Verenaisi Ditavutu, captain Raijeli Daveua and Ilisapeci Delaiwau to take a 19-0 lead in the first half heading into the break.
South Africa came back and scored a converted try through Ayanda Malinga in the 10th minute to trail 19-7.
Daveua scored her second try of the match in the 13th minute with the conversion unsuccessful for the final score.
Fijiana will play Ireland at 3.02pm tomorrow in their final pool match.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side will take on Australia in their first match at 9.30 tonight in their first pool match, they will then play Canada at 12.33 midnight tonight before taking on France at 5.43pm tomorrow in their final pool match.
