Corrections Officers at the Naboro Prison Compound have agreed to only have grog sessions in the weekend.
This agreement by the officers comes after a kava ban had been imposed at the Naboro Prison Compound by the Corrections Service Commissioner, Iferemi Vasu.
Vasu says officers are being encouraged to only have grog sessions inside the prison compound during the weekends.
He says before this agreement took place a lot of officers have been sick and not attending work.
Vasu says this initiative is focused on improving their service delivery and also ensuring that they have active and healthy officers.
The Kava ban at the Naboro Prison Compound was imposed in April this year.
