Green Waste Recycle PTE Ltd will later this year import a $1.5 million recycling machine which will boost Fiji’s recycling needs.

Company Director Gia Goa revealed this adding that the machine will allow for direct processing of waste materials into useful substances such as bottles, newspapers, cardboards and others.

Meanwhile, Minister for Environment Mahendra Reddy has told Fijivillage that they will request government to put concessions on imported recycling machines needed by Recycling companies in the country.

Reddy says that they are working closely with companies and stakeholders in this regard however, they will not be requesting for any subsidy.
