Good news for young men and women who wish to pursue their dreams to build a career in the music industry as the Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou opened the Youth Training Centre in Valelevu earlier today.
While speaking at the launch, the Minister said that the new $1.1 million facilities will help support young people to fulfil their aspirations.
He says the infrastructural development of this Youth Training Center is aligned with the Ministry’s Strategic Plan 2017‑2022 and the People’s Charter for Change Pillar 9 that promotes free education, institutional, program and trainer recognition under the Fiji High Education Commission.
He adds that the training programme is recognized by the Fiji Higher Education Commission adding that those who graduate from the center will be able to find work, in the uniformed services or in the entertainment industry.
Tuitubou also revealed that they also now have the option of going to FNU to study music further.
The center offers an opportunity to study music and culture up to certificate level 4 free of charge.
The Minister for Youth adds that the center is encouraging more women and persons with disabilities to enroll together with more of our Indo‑Fijian youth so we can develop a more diverse and inclusive offer.
