The girl who has accused Josevata Werelagi of prostituting her at the age of fifteen has told the Suva High Court that he never threatened or forced her to follow the man who eventually had sex with her in July 2015.

Josevata Werelagi is charged with 3 counts of Domestic Trafficking in Children and 1 count of Aggravated Sexual Servitude.

The girl has told the court that she was scared of Werelagi because of the expression on his face.

She says on the night of 18th July 2015, after she had sex with a man in a house in Rewa Street, Suva, from whom Werelagi had taken $35 from, she could not have left that house because Werelagi was waiting for her at the bus stop which is close to the house.

The girl also told the court that she was given part of the $35 for going with the man into the house but she cannot remember the exact amount.

She also told court that she, out of fear, hid the money that a taxi driver had given her after she returned to Werelagi.

The trial continues today.
