Getting the basics right is important because a simple bad pass can cause the team to lose the tournament, and the Fiji Airways Men’s national 7s team is working on areas to improve on this.
This was highlighted by coach Osea Kolinisau after their training at Bidesi Grounds.
Kolinisau says they want to be brilliant with the basics.
He says the Vancouver 7s tournament has been an exciting venue, and the Fiji crowd has always stamped their mark at the grandstand and he is urging Fijians in Vancouver to come in numbers to support the team.
The Vancouver 7s will be held from next Saturday to Monday 24th of this month.
Fiji will take on Uruguay at 7.18am next Saturday for their first pool match; they will then take on the USA at 12.45pm on the same day before playing Spain at 6.52am next Sunday in their last pool match.
The men’s cup quarter-final will kick off at 12.51pm next Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 8.30 am Monday, 24th February, and the Cup Final will kick off at 1.05 pm.
