Interchange between gender, power, class and politics is a well-known factor that people not only in the Pacific are facing but also globally.
This was highlighted by the British Ambassador to Fiji, Doctor Brian Jones while officiating at the filming of the movie, ‘Writing With Fire’ during the Pacific Human Rights Film Festival at USP.
Doctor Jones says the movie, which was set in India, shows that everyone, no matter their economic status at birth, should not be limited by the economic status of birth and everybody should be accountable equally under the law for their actions.
He says he believes that the more we talk about it, the more we learn about it, and the better we can bring about changes.
Dr Jones says it's not only about the challenge and inequality of digital transformation that we're all facing, but we will take away some elements from the fight as well.
