SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka and fellow MPs Niko Nawaikula, Ro Filipe Tuisawau and Adi Litia Qionibaravi were once again taken in for questioning today and have all been released.
Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has confirmed that all those that have been questioned are still under investigation however no one has been charged yet.
This is in relation to their statements on the Bill to amend the iTaukei Land Trust Act last week.
The Bill was passed in Parliament on Friday.
National Federation Party leader Professor Biman Prasad, NFP President Pio Tikoduadua, SODELPA MP Lynda Tabuya, former Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, Unity Fiji Leader Savenaca Narube and Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry have also questioned in line with Section 15(a) of the Public Order Act 1969 since last Sunday.
Tudravu has said that they will be questioning other people not for the purpose of intimidation as claimed by some, but as a proactive means to find the truth.
