Gas price to reduce, flour, kerosene, diesel prices to increase

The price of gas will significantly reduce from this Friday while the price of flour, kerosene and diesel will increase.
The price for a 4.5kg cylinder of gas will reduce from $16.99 to $15.12 while a 12kg cylinder will go down from $45.31 to $40.32.
Autogas will also reduce from $1.98 to $1.85 a litre.
The Commerce Commission has also made announcements on other commodities as a result of changes in the world market.
Chairperson Dr Mahendra Reddy announced that the price changes at the whole sale level for flour include Bakers flour where prices have increased by up to 7 percent, Normal Flour by up to 3 percent, Sharps by up to 5 percent and Normal Whole Meal Flour by up to 5 percent.
There is no change in the price of motor spirit or unleaded fuel however the price of diesel will increase by 7 cents per litre and kerosene will increase by 3 cents a litre.
The price of premix will go down by 4 cents.
Meanwhile steel prices have decreased by 4.82 percent for both grade 300 and 500 steel.
