Ganesh Utsav to be celebrated from this Saturday

Hindu organisation, Fiji Sevashram Sangha and other community groups are organising separate 11 days of Ganesh Utsav prayers and celebrations from this Saturday due to the COVID-19 guidelines.

Ganesh Utsav is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of Lord Ganesh to earth from Kailash Parvat with his mother Goddess Parvati/Gauri.

Treasurer Virsukh Lal says this year the Sangha will not invite others as they have to limit their gathering to 100.

Fiji Sevashram Sangha also organizes competitions every year for students but they will not continue that this year due to the restrictions in schools.
