Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Waisake Kativerata has come up with a game plan for the team given the amount of time they have to prepare for the upcoming Pacific Rugby League Championship competition.
While speaking during the naming of the Fiji Bati squad today, Kativerata says there is a strategy in place to gel his players together given the short time they have to prepare.
He says the first game against the PNG Kumuls will be a tough one given the fact that the Kumuls breathe and live for the game.
Kativerata has named a strong 21-member squad for the Championship which includes former Tonga and Australia rugby league star Michael Jennings.
The team includes Sunia Turuva, Semi Valemei, Maika Sivo, Taane Milne, Jethro Rinakama, Michael Jennings, Kevin Naiqama, Waqa Blake, Kurt Donoghoe, Caleb Navale, Kitione Kautoga, Viliame Kikau, Tui Kamikamica, Jordan Miller, Nathan Kegg-Smith, Kylan Mafoa, Ben Nakubuwai, Peni Tagituimua, Joe Lovodua, James Valevatu, and Bayleigh Bentley-Hape.
The Bati will face the Kumuls next Saturday at 8.10pm at the HFC Bank Stadium.
