Fijian 7’s Interim Head Coach Saiasi Fuli understands the challenges of having more new players in the training squad but he will make sure the players will be familiar with the highest level of competition.
With 19 new players joining the training squad for the 2021/2022 World 7s Series, Fuli says it will be challenging for them, especially the management because most of the players are new to the environment.
He says they are the best team in the world in terms of 7’s and they have to uphold that standard and continue with the hard work.
Meanwhile, 3 Olympians have been named in the 26 members including Josua Vakurinabili, Jerry Tuwai and Waisea Nacuqu.
They will be joined by Joseva Talacolo, Kavekini Tabu and Livai Ikanikoda who were part of the Olympics extended squad.
The squad also includes Iowane Leone who is the brother of Flying Fijians halfback Frank Lomani.
The first leg of the 2021/2022 World 7s Series will begin with back to back Dubai tournaments.
