They say due to the unserviceability of the airport’s fuel truck, Fiji Airways has to carry return fuel on all flights.
Fiji Airways says this significantly reduces passenger and baggage capacity on the Island.
They say the situation is beyond immediate control, and the Funafuti team is working diligently to resolve the matter as swiftly as possible.
Fiji Airways adds in the interim, they are taking proactive steps to manage the situation, assist the Funafuti authorities, and minimize further disruptions.
They are urging affected passengers to remain patient as they navigate through this challenge.
