Fijians will dig deeper into their pockets as fuel and prices has increased from today.
Unleaded fuel has gone up by 9 cents and now costs $3 per litre, diesel costs 11 cents more at $2.69 a litre, premix has also increased to $2.84 per litre, while the price of kerosene has increased by 6 cents to $2.05 per litre.
The price for a 12kg cylinder also increased by 62 cents and costs $42.16, the price of a 4.5kg cylinder increases by 23 cents and costs $15.81, the prices of bulk and autogas has increased by 3 cents and now costs $2.28.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says the prices issued are maximum wholesale and retail prices, and the wholesalers and retailers can sell the refined fuel products at the maximum wholesale and retail prices or below the authorised prices.
They say inspectors will continue to conduct checks during the coming weeks to ensure ongoing compliance.
