Good news for the Suva Grammar School camp as their star Senior Boys high jumper Kaiava Francis will get direct qualification for the Coca-Cola Games although he will miss the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 meet on Wednesday.

Coca-Cola Games organiser Vuli Waqa says the qualifying height of 1.95 metres that Francis jumped for the Pacific Mini Games is enough to secure his spot.

Waqa says the same consideration will be given for any athlete on national duty as long as they meet the qualifying standard.

Francis is the only secondary school athlete who is part of the twelve member Fiji athletics squad to the Mini Games in the Northern Marianas.

The Suva Zone II will be held on Wednesday at the ANZ Stadium. Stay with us for all the action on our website, fijivillage.

Meanwhile the new dates for the Coca-Cola Games is now 18th to 20th August, 2022.
