Fiji Rugby Union Chairman Francis Kean is one of the eight people nominated for the seven available positions on the World Rugby Executive Committee.
World Rugby confirms that Kean was nominated and proposed by the Fiji Rugby Union and seconded by the French Rugby Federation.
Former Welsh international, Gareth Davies is also one of those nominated for a place on the Executive Committee.
To be elected, World Rugby Executive Committee nominees need to be one of the seven candidates who win the highest number of votes.
The World Rugby Executive Committee formulates and monitors the implementation of World Rugby's strategic plan, business plan, operational plan and budget.
The World Rugby Executive Committee will be elected for a period of four years commencing immediately after the results are announced on 12th May.
