France has been crowned the HSBC SVNS World Series winners after beating Argentina 19-5 in the HSBC Madrid 7s this morning.
France earlier came from behind to beat the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team 21-14 in the semi finals to book a Cup final with Argentina.
Argentina scored the first try in the 6th minute of play with the conversion unsuccessful to lead 5-0 before France replied with a converted try to Stephen Parez Edo Martin to take a 7-5 lead heading into halftime.
France scored a further 2 tries to Jefferson- Lee Joseph and Paulin Riva with one conversion to seal the win.
Fiji settled for bronze after beating NZ 17-10 in the 3rd place playoff this morning.
Meanwhile, Australia won the Women’s Cup Final after beating France 26-7 and was crowned the Women’s HSBC SVNS World Series winners.
