The founder of Musket Cove Island resort Richard Sydney Smith passed away yesterday.
President of the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association Dixon Seeto said it is a great loss as he was very much an icon and pioneer of the tourism industry.
Seeto who worked with the late Smith said some of the resorts he developed and built included the Castaway, musket cove and plantation resorts and was involved in every facet of the tourism industry.
