The former President of the National Federation Party Raman Pratap Singh will be cremated tomorrow at the Dignified Crematorium in Nakasi.
Singh who was 69 years old passed away yesterday.
NFP’s Leader Professor Biman Prasad says Singh was a pillar of strength for the NFP who led the Party as President during the dark, uncertain and difficult times in the aftermath of the December 2006 coup.
Singh served as NFP President from July 2005 to March 2014.
Prasad says Singh’s contribution to the sugar industry was also significant and as a lawyer he helped former NFP Leader Siddiq Koya in drafting the Sugar Industry Act before becoming the Vice-Chairman of the Sugar Cane Growers Council in 1985.
