Good news for the Mokani Rugby Club in Tailevu as their former coach, Mosese Vueti has donated kits to support the grassroots team to prove themselves.
Vueti says the uniform is his family's gift to the rugby team that he has served for previous years and their wish is the players from the club will be successful in life and achieve great things in the future.
He says the jersey donation is just a small way they can give back to the people and communities that makes such a big difference to others.
He further says they will continue to sponsor and ensure Mokani Rugby Club continues to grow and develop juniors, women’s and men’s rugby players in Mokani.
Mokani Rugby Club President, Joseph Rodan Senior says their sons and daughters overseas see how much the boys have progressed.
He has assured them that they will be more than willing to help in any way possible and be part of the Grassroot Rugby Development Program in Mokani.
A prayer of thanksgiving was held at the Yatu Mabua Memorial Church by the Patron of the Mokani Rugby Club Reverend Samuela Waikarawa before the presentation of the team's jerseys to be used during the 2024 rugby season.
