Former Fiji Bati Vuate Karawalevu has joined the New South Wales Waratahs ahead of the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific campaign on a two-year deal.
He was scouted by the Roosters while playing for the Kaiviti Silktails.
Karawalevu was part of the Fiji Bati squad at the Rugby League World Cup in England where he debuted against Italy and was capped on three occasions.
The winger says he is excited to return to his first love of rugby and join the Waratahs.
Waratahs Head Coach Darren Coleman says he is really excited to have Karawalevu join the squad.
Coleman says Karawalevu has got a lot of work to do but based on what they have seen in the back half of Shute Shield where he joined West Harbour, he knows his way to the try line.
The Waratahs will kick off their campaign against the Reds on 24th February at 9.45pm.
