Former Fiji Bati player Ratu Nanovo is the teenager accused of stabbing three people after a western Sydney rugby league game on Sunday.
A 19-year-old Magpies player and two spectators, aged 16 and 22, were injured during the fight and the men remain admitted in the hospital.
7News reports that 19-year-old Nanovo allegedly got a knife out of a car before saying “come up here, I’ve got something for you” and stabbing the trio who are all related.
Nanovo was selected in a 2018 Australian Schoolboys squad to tour England and played in the Penrith Panthers under-20s Jersey Flegg team in 2019.
He was also selected alongside NRL players Maika Sivo, Korbin Sims, and Viliame Kikau to represent Fiji against Lebanon last year.
Ratu Nanovo is expected to front court later today charged with malicious wounding.
