A foreign fishing vessel has been fined $20,000 by Fiji Ports Corporation Limited after caught pumping out oil into the sea at the Fiji Ships and Heavy Industries Limited dock last Saturday.

It was penalised for breaching the Sea Ports Management Regulations 2008.

Fiji Ports Corporation Limited says the vessel has been informed to leave the Suva Harbour once the fine is paid.

Fiji Ports says they will not condone any form of pollution within the waters of the Port.
