The National Disaster Management says food security in parts of Vanua Levu, mainly the northern parts of the Island has been severely affected.

NDMO says the Detail Damage Assessment conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture tomorrow should verify and determine the amount of food ration that will be required to sustain the severely affected communities.

They say one house in the Northern Division has been destroyed while 5 houses have been partly damaged.

NDMO says all Evacuation Centres that were opened and activated during TC Tino have closed, with all evacuees safely returning to their homes.

The Ministry of Health teams on the ground have been conducting disinfection spraying of vacated evacuation centers.

They say the Fiji Roads Authority contractors are in Rotuma Island on standby to repair works on the Oinafa Jetty that were caused by TC Tino.
